Remember having these talks awhile back? Seems like everyone shoots for the higher handling, higher priced part and claims the best. I think I seen one AL/Steel can't remember the type, break on here and that was at the U-Joint, not shaft itself. It all goes back to how much power you have. With AL and Steel shafts supporting 800lbs of TQ. Who's near that? Not even 2% of the forum. So no one is going to be breaking those shafts anytime soon, unless it's manufactures defect. Which in the case of aftermarket parts is a hard one to claim after you've broken it. I guess also after having an AL shaft myself now for oh 4 years and killing 3 clutch systems ( CM 3.5, RPS 6 pucks, custom made RPS 6 pucks ) now having a Twin Disc in the car. The AL shaft is holding just fine. Even on high RPM slick launches, massive burn outs, etc. I've driven it hard, very hard at times and it's still prefect to this day.
